Lazy Days

I woke up waaay to late for a meeting with my guidance councelor. Watch how I sloppily(sp?) turn this sick/lazy/wtf look into a not-so-happy-about-paying-full-price-for-college look















Didin't even break a sweat. And what is even better about this quick unkept look is that I'm not really wearing a long skirt! It's the AA Unisex Circle Scarf! I'm obsessed. I wear it almosr everyday in different ways. I didn't wear the hat though. I was just lazy and forgot that I had it on.

I miss weather when I could where things like this. I guess I can say goodbye to that and hello to disgusting, cold, icy, bruising wind...

I just bought some new things (because I'm a shopping whore)

Young Dreamer

I want this to be me pretty soon. I love everything about her look, and everything about her expression. Like she has very few worries in life, and that she's where she wants to be (job wise, and education wise) I want to be able to walk down the street and feel that sure of myself. Comme des Garcon for H&M

I just saw a small viewing for Comme des Garcon for H&M and I have to say..... I am not feeling it at all. Now I have very open taste, I mean hey, I wear bras (very classy ones) with clothes that were meant to be worn bra less (a big deal around my area but if Carrie Bradshaw can do it...) but this is a whole new step. One that I just can't seem to get on.

The Jean Jacket

Should I be ashamed that this little gem has made it's way back into the fashion scene, or crouch down in shame? I think I'll take the higher road and be excited. I was soo in love with the jean jacket for so long and now that it's beginning to poke it's way back into the spotlight, I'm going to start taking full advantage of it.

Olsen Addiction

As of late, my creativity and "fashion sense" has been down to....none. It's been to hot lately to think. I read the Marykate Olsen interview in July/08 issue of Elle. I loved it. She just spontaneously signs up for trapeze school. This girl is to great for words. Lauren Hutton, who modeled MKA olsen's clotheing line, The Row has this to say about Marykate.

"I feel like M.K. is a kindred spirit. She lives an experimental life. When your young, you should be trying on lots of things, not just clothes. She understands that You're not born with taste. that's a bunch of hooey. Like everything else, taste is a process of discovery. I like that about her. She's always discovering her tastes."

I couldn't agree more.

Year of the Man

A style that really catches my eye now is women in menswear. A plain white t-shirt, men pants (chinos, suit pants, ) and black patent Oxfords or platform shoes. Light, cream pants or grey wool pants look great in the summer. Cuff the legs, show a little ankle and you have your feminine menswear look. Theres always the classic men's button up shirts. Tuck or half tuck in with a bandage skirt or high waisted jeans and flats or platforms looks too good to be true!

Finger Snap

Betsy Johnson's 2008 Fall Ready-To-Wear collection makes me want to grab my beret, a pack of smokes and head down to the closest poetry lounge. In other words, I love it. Even though the colors are dark and a bit on the grunge side, you can still see the girly side of Miss Johnson shine through. Mixing darks with bright yellows, fishnet stockings with high-waisted pants, leopard print dresses, and rompers with bright colored heels this collection is a win in my book.
